Its the Nineties,a Taboo subject can now be Revealed,

Child Abuse,we're told,need no longer be Concealed,

STILL, the reactions from IGNORANT people will Show,

they'd much prefare just NOT to know,

Foolishiy convincing themselves that this subject is Rare,

and WONT effect their lives so they show little Care.

In EVERY CLASS of SOCIETY this problem is RIFE,

leaving Heartache Depression and Everlasting Strife,

I got so angry as I listened to an Abuse Debate,

When a lady rmarked,"the child should have told NOT left it so late.



Just imagine scenes of Families,with Fathers and mothers,

Trusted friends,Aunts,Uncles,Cousins,Sisters and Brothers,

Then picture a girl of ONLY SEVEN,INNOCENT and FULL of TRUST,

whats SHE to do when one of THEM uses her to satisfy their LUST?

She KNOWS something's NOT roght,she KNOWS all is NOT WELL,

but she TRUSTED EVERYONE as she TRUSTED him,WHO'S to TRUST to TELL?

In his cruel threats he CONVINCES her he's ALWAYS NEARBY,

and should she dare to talk someone is sure to Die

This TALL LOOMING FIGURE will HAUNT her for MANY YEARS,

causing this SMALL CHILD to grow up with WILD Fears.



As a teenager she feels inadequate and Dirty,

she may be VERY withdrawn or ACT very Flirty,

Should she meet a Guy,gentle caring and strong,

She may THEN unburden this Horror she's suppressed for so Long,

TALKING,EVEN to a STRANGER,is the ONLY way this VICTIM'S misery will MEND,

KNOWING SO MANY SUFFER will bring her ISOLATION to an END,

WE ALL owe it to CHILDREN to SEE THEY'RE PROTECTED,

SHOW them it's NOT THEIR FAULT and NOT LET THEM BE NEGLECTED,

and DRUM into ALL ABUSERS until their DYING DAY,

How THEIR PERVERTED LUST STOLE INNOCENT LIVES AWAY ........
