Squirrel and beaver

The end of the world was beginning and with the winter coming, animals needed to shelter within the trees. Trees were dying and resources were finishing. Some place in the woods, near a large and wide lake, there was a small group of beavers struggling to find wood for their shelter to pass the winter. There were some squirrels living somewhere near the beavers searching for a tree to live. Both were scared because of their future and they were thinking about how they were going to live without water, food, and shelter. They were both losing hope about finding a tree that could help them with the cold.

One day, the beaver who was in charge of exploring the land, was searching for trees, waked up early and started to explore. After searching for a long time, he was too tired so he was about to go back with the rest of the beavers when he saw this big, green tree in front of him. He was so excited about the idea of gathering more wood to bring back to their shelter, so he ran and went to tell everyone. “A big tree!” he yelled tired and without air. He told them that the tree had many branches that they could use it and with it feel cozy when the winter comes. They were so excited, so the beaver gathered a group of strong beavers to help him bring some wood back.

When they arrived, the beaver that found the tree was very furious because all they saw the tree full of happy squirrels, settling down in the tree. After this, the beavers and squirrels had strong rivalry. One time, when the squirrels were sleeping, the beavers went at night to steal branches from their tree and some of their food. The squirrels were so mad that they took revenge and they did the same thing by stealing some of their food. This rivalry between them kept going for days.

One time, the squirrels waked up and saw that all of their food was gone. They were very afraid because they found some big footprints where the food was stored. They followed the footprints that led inside the woods, and they found a big wolf eating their food. The wolf, who was also starving because of the end of the world, was happy to get this many food so easy. They tried many times to get back their food but they couldn’t. The same day, the beaver who explored, was nearby the squirrel’s tree and he saw that their food was gone. He laughed and he was so happy that the squirrels got payback. Then the next day the same thing happened to the beavers. They tried to get their food back as well but couldn’t.

The beaver in charge went near the squirrel’s tree again and found one, so they started talking about the struggle that they were having. They both agreed to make a plan together to get their food back, because beavers and squirrels couldn’t do it alone. Both told the plan to their groups and they agreed as well. They gathered rocks and different pieces of wood to attack the wolf. At night when the wolf was sleeping squirrels and beavers attacked him and start fighting together to get their food back and they did it, they won and thanks of this the squirrel and beaver realize that if they work together they have better results, both achieving its goal together.
