The strength I found in you is almost lost.

Your lips were so sinful.

Yet never did I taste.

Your words were so gentle.

Yet they held daggers so sharp.

Your heart was never mine.

O' how I wish it was.

Your hands were within my reach.

Or was that just what you wanted me to think?

You were a ghost to me.

All in my mind...

"Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired." - Robert Frost

So true, yet sadly undiscovered in our world

The Dragon heard a French proverb once that said: In love there is always one who kisses and one who offers the cheek. I was reminded of this proverb by the expression of your verse. Your words teach the proverb with understanding.
