Quaint Conclusion

I have come to a conclusion.

Life simply has no meaning.

Well, if people to put meaning to it...

Then, I guess it does, but still.

It is a living, breathing process

That we are constantly going through.

And to no avail!

We accomplish what we are said will grant us acceptance.

But society's rules are not allowing us to live.

If anything, restricting us.

But they're definitely not letting us live.

I have come to the conclusion that some people

Just refuse to change.

That is okay with me though.

I really don't mind.

I mean, I am just as stubborn.

I wouldn't want to change.

Nor do I think I have to.

But some people just need to.

For their own sake and safety, if not for anyone else's.

I have come to the conclusion that decisions have to be made.

However, difficult, or even simple, they all have a solution.

Too bad that it takes forever to figure some of them out.

Then again, some you may know the answer to.

But you refuse to let that solution be plausible.

Why?

Because you're too busy trying to find another one...

One that may be easier...

Then, the solution becomes the answer to someone else's problem.

That is when you become frustrated with your ignorance

And try to get back the solution...

Well, guess what... too late!

All gone.

Pay more attention to what is under your nose and in front of your face.

Change is inevitable................

people change that is why they are never happy with what they have what they had 5 years ago may not suffice now and that could be anything from a car, to a pair of shoes, to a particular set of friends, they may even feel the deep need to change their address whether its a newer apartment across town or to go live in another country. You have your path and they theirs, good or bad. They will change or may not when the time is right for them. It is we who put restrictions on others as they in turn put restrictions on us but as you very well know you find ways to live your life around others. Meaning, like if your mom didn't like a particular friend you had or a boyfriend you found ways around that to go see that boy friend or spend the afternoon at the mall with that one friend your mom told you to stay away from. You just told her hey I'm going with such and such and your mom likes her so she doesn't mind. People do such things all the time. We see it in others as bad but we don't see it in ourselves as bad at all. Is all very common. The world would be a sad place if everyone stayed the same. I imagine it would be like taking the same grade in school over and over again. Life is like school. Some graduate with good grades, some with not so good grades, some barely pass, others are passed on to the next grade even though they should have had to repeat it and then there are some who drop out but in life we call those one's r anarchists, bums or God forbid suicides. We are put here to compete with others but to compete with ourselves to learn the lessons we were meant to learn and yes Virginia that may even mean someone changing partners like a waitress changes the silverware on a table in a restaurant. Everyone has free will so if what they are doing is in the aim to better their soul who are we to look upon their life with our narrow eyes and judge. The Beatles sang it best my friend, LET IT BE! All works out for the best in the end ( psssst, the big secret though is that there really is no end after all scientists admit that energy never dies it just moves to some other place and the soul is but an energy force.) Live your life, achieve your goals, love whomever or however many you wish to love and let the rest of the world's inhabitants do as they were meant to do cause remember, if anything is not meant to be then it will not happen. I enjoyed your poem but felt the urge to reply as you seemed so fed up and or confused. Sincerely, Melissa Lundeen.
