The Perfect Night

The stars were shimmering

The full moon was bright

As we walked hand in hand

Along the beach that night

We felt the ocean breeze

As it caressed our faces

We held each other tight

In unbreakable embraces

As we sat there in the sand

We kissed like two lovers do

We talked of loving things

The plans for me and you

Felt the waves lap our feet

As we made beautiful love

I could swear to my soul

Heard Angels singing above

We drew a heart in the sand

Put our initials on the inside

We drew an arrow through it

Walked some more side by side

I sat on the pier as you sat on my lap

I watched the sun as it came up in your eyes

We said to each other on the way home

Funny how time flies
