We are putting each other down
in thoughts and words each day
treating others like they don't matter
in so many ways
We talk about who we don't like
and those who've done us wrong
we see the bad in their hearts
we don't give of ourselves for them
In fact we'd rather stay far apart
When we love
with the love of Jesus
grace and mercy can flow through
and love will prove
to be the greatest thing we do
Let us love one another
in thoughts and words
in all we do
reach out for each other
with the love that God has shown to you
Be kind, tenderhearted, forgiving
with humility and patience
bear with one another in love
lift each other up
Jesus taught us
to serve others
and to lay our life down
He has told us
You treat others
as you would like
for them to treat you
