Roses are red
Violets are blue
As much as I resist
I still want you
Hugs and kisses
Love and lost
I wanted it so badly
At any cost
I know I don't need it
I know I can live
But with everything around me
It's hard to believe
I feel like i'm free
But then it comes back
When my smile fades
I my heart into black
When you were there
Just lifted me up
And after a day
I began to drop
But I will fight
Not for you
But because roses are red
And violets are blue

Great way to start and to end a poem! It started off with the old and classic poem.."Roses are red.." and I expected this to be like those kinds of poems, old, plain, and just too cliche. But the whole middle part was soo different and original that it just gave more power to the poem. Love the way you ended it too, and the structure of the piece was also great.
Keep it up!
