Why can't I just love you?

2009 If I could take these feelings,
And make them come out right.
If I could just love you,
In the broad daylight.
If I could just keep this longing,
When you’re nowhere to be seen.
If I could just stop,
My need to be mean.
If I could just have freedom,
Of mind, body, and soul.
If I could just give in,
And simply lose control.
If I could just hold this memory,
Of compassion in my mind.
If I could just start seeing,
That I’m being so blind.
If I could take these feelings,
And make them come out right.
I’d do more then just love you,
In the depths of the night.
Technically you could, but you don't cuz your scared it will be the same thing as always, and you don't deserve that. The poem was pretty good, i liked the beginning, after that it got a bit random with the extra unneeded words , but otherwise a good read.

I like this one. It flows really well and has good meaning. I think you came to express the particular emotion at hand in a really nice poetic fashion. Poems such as this one always succeed in inspiring me to read and write more poems. I think that you display some very talented poems on this site and I really enjoy reading your work.
