You're still in my heart, even today

but not as deep, not as dark

not as full and ill and horrid,

not so bad that I can't feel, less then feel for love now lost,

not so hard that I've wait to drown a bubble of air

not so still, not so sane

you're still there, after all these years

crying upon my cheast

but not as loud, not as sweet

the tears not freash from skin

you're there if only to show me

to help me,  to see

you're there to be who you have been,

a man afraid to love me,

there, to heed me, to not fear loving him
