Fairy of Love

Her great wings hide her,

When she opens them, the first two to see her fall.

You have seen her,

We all have once.

She hides till you meet the right one.

Then she holds you in her great wings,

But one slips.

She tries to catch them,

But she missed.

She tries to rekindle what was lost,

But catches someone new.

But what if you slipped,

Instead of them?

What if you had wanted to stay,

But instead you flew?

You knew it would last,

Then things changed.

Then the fairy would have to get someone special,

For them because you were gone.

Or she would catch you again,

And all would be right.

If you had to struggle and strain,

Because of life,

And you slipped,

She would try like hell because it was right.

All they can do is hope she catches,

And holds on tight.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this when I lost my love hoping for a second chance to be with her, for we were forced apart by life and we wanted to be together.

Well, I like the poem but gave up on love. I killed that goddamn fairy and hung up her wings on my wall.

Love is a very complicated thing. I have yet to understand it. But I do believe that when you meet the one that you are meant to be with, love is the best thing in the world. It may not always feel that way but it is.
