homesickness

Maybe one day,

you will pick up the book,

scatter us across the living room, and read as the sunlight turns orange-

splashing the room with its rays of color.

I will lay back then and feel all the life I felt when we were young and in the cottage-

trusting in the words you spoke as if they might visit me in my dreams.

beautiful image

Someone distant reading a book of memories in the orange glow of evening, while another lays back to recall the glowing vitality of youth… trusting a shared moment might revisit them again in a dream.

A beautiful image, perfectly reflecting the ephemeral nature of life.
