Beauty Wolf

This photo cannot be captured by a single phrase,

With its posture and gazing golden eyes.

Emerged from the forest through trees like doorways

With a closed mouth holding in deep lies,

But still, this creature is not afraid

For it feels as pure as its fur, so white.

Now look deeper, to where it blurs and fades,

Just as this wolf could into a snowy night.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This was a workshop project I was informed about by my English teacher, and the poem that I was crafting throughout the duration of 1 1/2 exercises didn't turn out half bad. It was based on a photograph by Sonya Lang of a white wolf with golden eyes sitting in darkened woods. Let me know what you think :)
