Summer's muggy heat gives way

to cool misty Autumn. Green

and gold fading into orange,

red---finally brown



Apples spiced, hayrides,

Corn husks and scarecrows.

Anticipatory signs that

Halloween is near!!



Ghosts, monsters---clowns

converge consuming masses

of candied corn, popcorn balls

then chocolate before bed!



Autumn joy setting the mood

for coming season's merriment!

Soon bared trees will await winter's

mantle of snow and Yule bells!
