War.

Bring a nation ravaged by war

To a peace unknown in hardships

And trials of demanding presence.

Take over our minds,

I don’t know what we’ll find left.

A purpose yet to be discovered?

Lives torn apart,

Give the world just one reason

To destroy so many hearts.

Trip over our tribulations,

Why don’t you?

You claim peace as your strife

And yet we are still divided

Ununited

Soul confided in nothing

Will you drag us down with your words of wisdom?

Vile, burning

We are a gathering of souls yearning

To know the truth.

Raw emotion, clear and sharp as glass

Hearts on every sleeve

This country is for you to leave

What will be left when you’ve run out of worldly sentiments?

Just a nation ravaged by war, hardships,

And trials of demanding presence.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I dedicate this to Bush. Actually to Cheney, since he's the real  president.
