h- Cold Bits of Lust

So badly,

My love moves these days:

So much I want from love,

that I cannot say.

So much I yearn for you,

that I cannot hide away.

My love is hurting,

My voice is choking,

  in praise of a heart,

    with which it is rhyming.

Can you not hear the cries I stifle?

Can you not see the tears I burn?

Why love me,

when you cannot stay?

So badly,

you have tamed me:

The wild love I endorse

is of warmer passion than yours.

And now, I have learned

to taste

  the cold bits of lust.

Your drives, like you nourish them,

have killed the madness in me;

And now, as I stand so still

before the glitter in your eyes:

I whisper to the moans to die,

and hush to the true words to lie.

Why love me,

when you cannot stay?
