Twilight

Chilled and wandering from the light

The heavens in their waning flight

Tremble through a starry night;

on they soar, far from sight



Yearning, longing, gratitude;

tears of music's crystal hues

descend again deep into

the thawing heart to start anew



Green and warm the summer leaves

reaching out in ancient dreams

bring forth from their rustlings

melancholy memories...
