Our souls flicker with immortal flame;
Lit within by fires tame
The mother star, forever bright
Shimmering in the quiet night
Brilliant spirits still remember
The glorious source of all their embers
Our darkened coals gently kindled;
Never again to die or dwindle
For they were lit by greater fire;
Free and strong, which cannot tire
And even as our star is doused,
Her light continues; within us, housed
We never die.
