Sunrise

Hidden deep within the night;

Murmuring soft to stay the cold,

You raise a plea to the sky--

For with the Sun you've placed your soul

Ever near; your torment's end;

Ever near; torment again...

And by your prayer the light succeeds

To breach the folds of darkened cloaks

Which buried deep our memories

With frozen chains and silent strokes...

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this during the night, and "Sunset" during the day...
