at any point

 

all you had to do was reach for me

and then hold on.

it would have been the tiniest effort

followed by another modest gesture.

 

but ultimately

it would have been

 

some indication

 

that you genuinely wanted me around.

 

based on everything i have seen

i am forced to conclude

you want me to chase you forever and never reach you.  

 

i'd rather take a nap.
