What can you say
when someone you love
loses somone they love to death
but they left this world
without any assurance
salvation is theirs,
& the saviour remains unknown to them?
I want to offer comfort,
but they grieve comfortless,
I want to minister hope,
but all there is now
is the hope that they themselves
will finally stop running,
& the Lord will heal their brokenheartedness
when we arrive in that prepared place
where every tear shall finally be wiped away.
I wish I could tell you
you'll see her again,
I wish there were words
that could truly help you through...
...All I can do
is remind you He loves you,
& calls you,
& waits for you
to finally, fully surrender...
{...but, like for her, my friend,
He can't wait forever...
...time as we know it will come to an end...}
