It's nine-thirty in the morning

Your alarm is going off in my ear.

Let's just go back to sleep,

Forget that this is today,

A day to do nothing.

Make our breakfast,

We'll have our morning smoke.

Hey, let's go to the liquor store,

Buy some for tonight.

Remember when we went skinny-dipping

In the lake?

Who cares if the sun is shining

Or if it's warm outside?

Let's just lay in bed all day,

With my head against your chest

And your fingers entwined in my hair.

Play me a little song on your black acoustic

And I'll recite a love poem to you.

I could lay like this forever,

Here in your arms with your black t-shirt on.

The smell of your skin brings back memories,

Even ones that have faded with time.

With your lips on mine,

Take me back again.

Make me forget this inner anarchy.

I'll be your Anaïs,

If you'll be my Henry.

Let us forget the world,

Forget why we're even here,

In this bliss.

In this euphoria.

In this lover's dream.
