Bandages

Poetry

I'm all alone again,

Lying drugged in this hospital bed.

Voices in my ears,

"She's just another casualty,"

Tears that fall and the cuts that bleed,

Bandages on my wrist,

Keeping the pain on the inside.

I want to be free,

Break these chains,

Tear my skin wide open.

Bathe in a bath of knives,

Drink the alcohol of the past,

Roll another cigarette.

Can't you understand that,

I'm not crazy.

Tell me I'm just a jaded girl,

Give me another excuse.

I didn't ask you to do this.

I'm screaming in your silence.

Let the blood seep through,

These white bandages.

Maybe you'll see what's on the inside.

Just my little Thursday-esque poem.
