A Line of Cocaine

Folder:
Poetry

White lines drawn across a mirror,

Offering you a chance for release.

So easy to take that chance.

Little mind voices say go for it.

It can't hurt you that bad.

Close your eyes, tip your face down...

(Inhale)

Feel that pleasant buzz behind your eyes.

Tears that are worth it.

A taste that nothing can compare to.

(Exhale)

The weightlessness sets in.

But your head is a lead weight.

The mirror smiles back at you.

The white lines spell out your name.

Your mind asks why does he love you?

All the answers lie in a line of cocaine.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Written after I stupidly took some cocaine with my aunt. My boyfriend found out and it resulted in a long conversation on the phone at about 2:30 in the morning.
