Hands shaking,
Nerve-breaking,
A breath-taking moment in time,
Lost in rhythm and rhyme.
Pulse-pounding,
Heart-rate astounding,
The founding of a cardiac,
Waiting for a heart attack.
Freezing sweats,
That never left,
Leave me bereft and upset,
Drawing poison in my breath.
So I exhale,
And it prevails,
I’ve failed to halt the beast,
Laying broken in defeat.
Bones shaking,
Mind raking,
She’s saying it’s a phase,
As my nerves begin to race.
Veins popping,
Seemingly shocking,
Yet I’m scoffing at the hilarity,
Of what most would call severity.
Life-draining,
Blood remaining,
I’m refraining from admitting,
Panoramic dyslexia’s beginning.
