Okay, again. More flooding, more frequent adverse weather:  Hotter to Colder, Dryer to Wetter. Wayne County is under a state of emergency due to 6.5 inches of rainfall Saturday, 2 days ago. A basement flood is not fun. Rec centers open for the displaced. A major water pumping station failed on the Eastside. I live on the Eastside. Major freeway hubs shut down today, Monday. Inconvenience creates will to fix it. We cannot depend on the suburbs to prioritize The City of Detroit - we need to change the rules.

In an aside, a study was done nationally on grading usa's infrastructure (pipes, water and waste ststems) we got a "D".

The vids of sewer systems unable to accommodate waste and FYI excess rain in a short period of time are overwhelming examples of infrastructure insufficiencies. Once in a lifetime rains are now every several years. Separating storm and sewer systems is one place to start geting volumes lowered.
