Did we not learn India's lesson?: no gatherings, wear the masks - the variants are mutating as I type. Kids are to be vaccinated next, if the grown-ups get their jab and stop being americans. It is not Constitutional, personal, Tweetable (sorry Drumph, banned for life - they use to hang traitors!) or anything else other than a health and life issue.

That said, a new "tweeked" vaccine is out for variants and today I heard coctails of different vaccines is recommended. It is a last hot time, a great game sweetheart. "Here's lookin' at you, kid." So, we open up everywhere, except the libraries, and watch the glaciers melt. Hope for chips and fewer billionaires. Gotta go reserve my seat for Bezo's $200k trip around the galaxy. We will save the world in 2023 if the creek don't rise or our West Coast doesn't do the phoenix routine around then. Ally and friendship are lovely words.

You took all the frustration that has simmering inside me and unleashed it in this unflinching and meteoric takedown of our self-serving and pathetically self-destructive system in its hour of testing. It really does all come down to money even when lives are hanging in the balance. It always was that way, but this crisis has brought it into stark relief like nothing ever has.

The world is in mental collapse. Terror of death does that. I imagine waking up in India each morning is a hard day's beginning with a question. Is it my day or someone I love? Babies are dying - children. Science is ambiguous - open economy but distance and wear mask but outside, no mask is okay. How do you come up with definition of a crowd, under 100, under 50 gather is okay but socially distance. 71 years of equivocation, you'd think I would have it figured out by now. Time to go out and be socially awkward I guess. Stay healthy. ~S~
Don't be so pessimistic my friend
we shall overcome the pandemic curse sooner or later. But how many people are lost is what is disturbing. Schools closed since one & half years. Millions are infected. Thousands dying. None can say for certain which is the right thing to do in such a situation. Bats or cats does it make any difference ?! Out here the common man can't afford medical care in a hospital. No money ... No jobs.. Yet we Indians are hopeful

I am here. Hope is defined in us. The survivors. Vaccine will begin to reach India in bigger numbers soon. 500 million over next 2 years and other countries will join COVAX and the trillion doses will happen, then two trillion world-wide! Hope indeed. We are alive!
