NOT IN ANY PARTICULAR ORDER: Some thoughts.

There is a solution and it usually happens at the polls here. Watch the 2018 elections - and watch the paradigm change. We have no reason to sloganize about being great. Has anyone seen our GDP figures lately. We rock. We have rocked for a long, long, long time.

.

We are also killers and maimers and greedy resource takers. Not a criticism,  an evaluation and a criticism. We will reap it when we are not looking, like Pearl and The Trade Towers. We tend to get relaxed. I doubt we will ever do that again..
.
Now, not perceived as vulnerable with HOMELAND and military on alert 24/7, we are reassurd at not seeing The Nat'l Guard deployed on USA streets. Envisioning sleepers coordinated and taking out infrastructure: water purification plants, electrical grid, and a few major gas and oil storage facilities, we see all this grinding to a stop. No internet. Oh no! That's the ballgame!

As a nation, we were kinder once, before we got a few stones thrown at us that landed in our shoe. OPEC did it to us and we got fracking and no laws or money made available for clean-up. We destroy the earth and movime on to the forest in your back yard. No land is sacred anymore if there are oil rich rock deposits there. Fire blossoms like heat flowers.

Passive name calling and labeling others behind anonymnity is not offensive or threatening, just cowardly. We went "over there" and now over there is on our doorstep. This had never been the counter-response to our war on lesser nations. The cheek! So, now we fight on multiple war fronts and have to defend home shores as well. After all, our military is dedicated to protecting USA citizens, our stuff, and our land. If it were not for the threat of our military, we would have been overun centiuries ago. Our military are bad asses. Don't mess with 'em, they know judo and shit.

As resourses dwindle, as easy access to oil and gas and elements that support our republic's economy diminishes, we will become a differnt nation. Being on the defensive is not our natural order, but it is now. Trump has a point (not many mind you, but this one is spot on) decrease foreign aid. I need clean water in Michigan and a better way of processing clean water. That's what I want. I want no more babies poisoned by ill equiped infrastrucure attached to the homes of USA citizens. It's a problem and I want it solved. Now.

If we go into debt, it should have a "thing" attached to it. Yeah, we have to live lean for a while, but at least the water is safe! Like that.

People just get tired of dying or being killed or neglected into dispair. Dispair leads to Putin, and Castro, and Hitler and they had no trouble with arresting and disappearing the enemies of their regimes, I mean of the state. Of course, the USA would never disappear anyone, we are ruled by laws, after all.

Hording of resources creates Idi Amins and Russian mobsters. The neo ovens are being warmed up for the excess population. 8 million becomes 10, 10 becomes 15 million.  It will become warfare by those who have and want it all vs those who will willingly walk into death camps. We are too easily led as a species. We need to question more and delve deeper than the slogan or how good it sounds as rhetoric and propaganda. We need practice at thinking independently and not relying on the brains of others to think for us totally.

What is enough? How much information do you need to make a determination on whether something, anything, is true or false, good advice or not, or followable or not. Repeatable belongs in there too somewhere. I keep getting instructions to read the right wing media (now called the anti-media I learned recently). No. No free press no freedom you guys, get it together. If logic does not work, find someone you consider truly enlightened and ask what they think about issues. If the blind lead the blind you eventually will all fall off a cliff.

Here, in USA, I watch my fellow citizens and secretly warn myself not to smile or laugh should they fall. It would be disrespectful and smack of I told you so which is sandbox politics. You can lead a horse to water...et al. Perhaps we will see a return to non-partisan politics. It is dividing us in ways we thought we had buried long ago.

Slowly, more and more is unveiled about Trump's campaign crew, and his son in law, Mssr. Kushner,  and the Russians. We found out from the Kremlin that high ranking security officers from Russia met with White House officials recently. Was the military present? The CIA? This was not given to us by girlfriend at the press podium for us to know who was meeting whom and when and where or why. No. No. Russia bragged about it. Hole in one. Sunk that sucker. That is called interference. No one in their right mind can deny that "secret" meetings with Russians from high in their security and super spy eechelons with White House officials may be  treasonous. How about releasing those transcripts, eh DT? Forget Democrat and Nunes' salad Memoranda. I want steak.

How does it play out? We will see in time. Yet, if we cannot see what is being done in our names, how can we predict and prepare for potentially adverse outcomes. I hope the mindset is not, you are my puppet and you will move and speak as I tell you. I'm a free American in the United States of, baby. I was born to be a blabber mouth. Remember Martha Ray. I'm the Black Martha Ray. Ha! I can and will speak for myself.

Set aside Russia, for a moment. EU is a competitor fueled by trade with USA and themselves, and other world countires. Over here, the well is almost dry and is about to get dryer. California and Texas need relief now from floods and fires and hurricanes. So does Puerto Rico. Our historical response is to help other nations in the same plight, but so far we have not done much for our own. Why not? Waiting for a budget that was due last October. Okay.What's so important that Congress can't sit down and talk about the 2018 budget before the year expires (October 2018) and a new one is due. Shouldn't they be working on the next one now? This is the term paper is due tomorrow so I'll do it the night before. It won't be thoroughly researched, but it will be in on time. (This should be spoken in Chris Rock).

Everyone is working, but what do those jobs look like and what are they paying? No or little welfare available for work eligible. Okay. Long over due. But does going to work for a McDonald's count as family sustaining income? I'm just wondering what kind of jobs are out there that has our unemployment in the very low single digits. If I remember correctly: high employment leads to inflation - too much money in circulation, right? Too much inflation boomerangs and causes recession (laying off and closures of businesses). Is this what is next and if so, what is the plan from Washington to deal with massive unemployment. They can't pass a flood or hurricane relief package, can they help feed the kids until the economy improves? Anyone? (Did this prove prophetic or what!)

I once made the statement, not altogether sure of my footing, that when the Republicans are in power (office, excuse me) they leave the country in financial ruins. Was I imagining that for the seven or so Presidential elections I've lived through? Then the Dems clean up the mess and can not retain power (sorry, office) because of the hardships and high taxes that fix the financial mess. It's a theory, but it seems true. Let us watch and see what happens next. November 2020, will be a very good year for Democrats. Just because the mess will be up to our noses and it will begin to reek. it always does, or so it seems. And the Dems will take the fall for it and the Reps will get a better showing in mid-terms and the 2024 election. Basically, all they will need is a candidate who does not lie or Tweet.

Unfortunate as that seems, it too is the way the world of mentalites evolve. Me-mine vs. you-yours. Conservatives are good at pointing fingers. Republic proponents scream "Constitutional Crisis" and thought swings left, for balance and return to the rule of law and no obvious lies or retractions of statements made last week or yesterday.  Note: Trump lies because everyone else does and that's his culture, that's our legacy, and we have to own it.

What is so remarkable about this republic is that no matter what you do to it, it takes a lickin' and gets up and beats the shit out of some small country. I'm just sayin'.
