my entire life alone
but you, arrived late,

but in totality, real

as a drop of rain.

shorter than expected,

and truths exchanged
at odd hours and even.

Refreshing as water

from the sky.

You died from the fury

of the streets. I remember

when my friend told
me you were gone. I
remember because

it rained on Thursday.
