Being a writer of science fiction, are you familiar with James Tiptree, Jr.? For reasons I cannot explain, your poem reminded me of Tiptree's story, "The Last Flight Of Dr. Ain." Your poem, which is beautifully colorful, set me to thinking and my warped brain went to Dr. Ain's last flight.

Eyes stressed, keeping most replies short, postng less - and less. Jus fnishe re-reading Dragon Riders of Pern - 6 novels;marathon read. I wrote down @ 500 4-7 stllable words, mostly adverbs. May look up for alrernate denotations, abiut 10 root words I did not know. Mccaffrey's American-Irish. Died 2011.

Alice Bradley Sheldon, unveiled , in 1977 that Jim Tiptree, Jr. was a woman. Looked her up: murder-suicde pact, 1987 shot husband (blind and an invalid) then herself. A married lesbian.
