for the soul. Sweat is. It
makes the soul happy.

Souls sing when sweat runs
and the body is in use, the way
it was designed to work hard
and burn the calories
of the soul to make the days,
all of them, a success.

Good sweat, chest heaving sweat.
Need a towel for the run-off
sweat.

Sweat
purifies the soul, undoing the damage wrought by hands previously idle. It purifies the mind, instilling the clarity of a diamond. It purifies the body, carrying toxins away in waves of water and salt, the salt of the earth.
I Broke A Sweat
on the stairs - holiday decorations (still not done). It felt good, took a shower and wrote some poetry. :D
