Then he said, stand on your head.
No, I don't balance well. Then you will
be deported. I tried to stand on my
head and broke my collar bone.

This would be funny if it
This would be funny if it wasn't seriously an issue, health insurance is a joke too. Always has been, I've argued with Medicare trying to get them to approve on an up to date medicine because the old meds no longer worked they fought to the end, didn't even matter that the only other option was dialysis, and in so many cases it becomes too late it's next to a death sentence.
"Some people die at 25 but buried at 75" Benjamin Franklin
Health Care
I feel some prose coming on - dialysis v transplant(s) Medicare has a process for approving new drugs and nothing moves until one makes the list. Heath priorities by physicians become what is reimbursable - like colonoscopies: big business, they screen, collect the fee, but do not treat what they find, not enough reimbursement. In socialist countries it may indeed be a death sentence: the lines are very long. Here, you don't get to be on the list. Government programs have no elasticity to address the best care available whether cost efficient or not. Go figure. Best wishes - allets -
