They are just old people and a burden on the economy, let 'em die out, there are too many of them anyway. Most of them have millions in the bank, they don't need tax payer dollars. Medicare is going to bankrupt the nation and we won't be able to buy spiffy new air craft carriers develop guns to kill foreigners.
.
Those old coots do not contribute anything now, maybe once, but not now. Parts A, B, C, and D - just legislate them out of existence. Medicare is eating us alive, we need reform immediately. They are all too sick to vote anyway. Population control is the answer to all our problems. We can't build great infrastructure with those redirected dollars and buy new uniforms for all our new and necessary military personnel. While we're at ending programs, let's get rid of Social Security while we're in reformation mode. What's that, ten trillion a year saved?
.
I do not advocate for any of the above.
.
Solutions are not simple and approaching them with simple formularies like blaming indigent or disabled people for our financial woes is a diversion. The battle is over tax dollars entering states to support their economies and giving a reduced amount of money to the states means how do you spell FRAUD? Who gets rejected under 50 different systems of dispensing health care dollars. (I just learned today that racism does not exisit in the U.S. and it changed my life forever).
.
Quick fixes are like alternate truths - they sound good on the surface but in the practice they are faulty and irresponsible. Interestingly, a lot of people in the U.S. who voted for Trump's team and wanted welfare reform and the end of the Health Care Act, are about to take a hit. So are the coffers of 50 states. Thesr are federsl dollars for citizens who cannot afford Blue Cross and Prudential.
.
Follow the money and stop demonizing americans who are perceived as weak and non-contributing. We are a nation of religious peoples - what happened to compassion and charity? When did these become evil political concepts especially when half the country is on the dole in some form or other. In realigning priorities, we must not forget the lesser among us, the kid who wants to go to college, the drug addict who wants to be cured, the cancer riddled 90 year old who needs opioids, the single mom who needs to house six kids (or one). We are better than that. The wealthy have to remember their dirt poor forebears. So do the politucally powerful.
