You seem so distant.
All I want is to be with you.
The closer I try to get
the farther you drift away.
I try to hold on tighter
but you slip out of my grip.
I let you go even though it killed me.
I cried for weeks.
My heart was broken.
Then you came back to me
like a beacon in the night.
The light was back in my life.
Everything was right in my world.
