I was sitting inside your head last night

With a black silence ringing in my mind

Looking around I noticed it was missing one thing

Compassion for the ones you left behind

Looking out the window of your pupil I watch

As people walk around not understanding you

They don’t know you or your story

They can’t understand who or what you’ve been through



But now I know I stood inside your brain

I know what goes on behind those cloudy eyes

I know why you sit in your room alone going insane

I know why the tears fall and I hear the cries

Of a lonely person who lost everything they stood for

I know all of this and so much more.



I placed the side of my face against your temple

I heard the pulse of your life as you go on

Telling lies just to get through the day

I don’t think I need to tell that I think its wrong

For you to go on living this way

The silence is deafening unbearable pain

I see no way out of this for you

I was sitting inside your head last night

Stop telling yourself that it will be alright
