Beneath a velveteen sky,
A vision limited only by it's crimson hue,
Eyes, closed by the breath of a crisp breeze,
Reopen to the shuffle of the leaves' spring promenade,
An emptiness in atmosphere
Revitalizes one's peace of mind, sense of self;
Sensations abound in the body's flavor:
The tickle of a stray hair floating across cheek,
The shiver of a droplet of sweat sliding listlessly,
down an unreachable area of one's back,
Single blades of grass bend to cradle each playful touch...
as each toe spirals in its earthly plunge,
and rebounds in its heavenly flight,
Serenity of soul;
Watching the mercury sink into perfection,
As the sun masks itself behind distant rooftops,
and the moon awakens beneath the twilight shade.
Adam, it's been a while since I've read your work. It was beauriful as always. I posted some new stuff too. Keep it up, hope college is treating you well.
Perfect, indeed. =O)
