Only Death Could Part

I so do wish that after we both die

There would be a beautiful place we could hide

That one of our lives ending is a temporary goodbye and not the true end

Yet I cannot make myself believe this, and I will not pretend

Trying to make the most of the now

While attempting to forget the approaching farewell somehow

Time goes by so fast with you

To slow it down - not a thing I can do

In me you bring out the best

You tame my smoldering anger and give me rare mental rest

If this troubled ship on stormy seas goes down at least with you I sink

Don't worry of forever - for our precious time together is a cosmic blink

Perfect together from the start

Only death could part
