The world I enjoy in a string of words
The flocking feathers of flying birds
I enjoy the morning freshness of dew
Even the sun, which blazes through
The little birds that twitter with sound
The fireflies that glitter around
The mountain range, the water flow
The shady trees with shadow show
The color of the clear blue sky
Being spotted by an eagles eye
Passing clouds with a silver line
After rain the colorful sign
The peaceful sight of grazing sheep
Green meadows with the valleys steep
The golden waves of the desert sand
Spread across the Promised Land
The dolphins jump, a lovely sight,
Moving with the blazing light.
Think of it all my hearts at ease,
Oh! God the world is a masterpiece.
I love how someone has finally realized that life, as well as poetry, doesn't always have to be so morbid. Ominousness (if that's even a word :| ) has it's benefits in writing, but I think it's important to change things up a bit. Loved the poem, especially how the rhyme scheme didn't seem forced. Awesome work! :)
