There comes a time
In every creature's life,
When their long march of seasons
Must draw to an end.
Those who used treachery
To gain power and wealth,
Those who lied and cheated their way through,
Do not deserve to rest with the noble.
Those who selfishly stabbed their friends,
Suffocate in the thick dust,
Imprisoned for the rest of time,
To show what comes of evil deeds.
But the brave of heart, the warriors true,
Who fought for good and right,
They are lifted on high to the eternal sky,
Bringing safety and light to the darkness below.
They'll stay there for all of time,
Shining brightly in their honour and courage,
As all below will watch and realize,
This is the resting place of true warriors.
Night has fallen and the air is still,
My eyelids close as sleep pours in,
I hope I will have the courage and bravery,
For my own spirit to join them someday.
