Four years have passed

Since that fateful day,

When we met each other

And became best friends.



You were dating my friend Jack,

And that's how we met.

We barely knew each other,

Now we finish each other's sentences.



We have been through thick and thin,

Picked each other up when we have fallen,

But despite all that here we stand.

And nothing will ever separate us now.



You were there when my uncle died,

Offering a shoulder to cry on.

And when I am feeling down,

You always find a way to cheer me up.



Now here we are, both in college,

And even though we are far apart

You will always have a special place,

Right here in my heart.
