A Wish

Lost thoughts on a dream once loved

Hopes abandoned for dreams yet to be lived.

An urge to see the sunrise with tired tear stained eyes

To breathe the sweet air is to ingest life to the fullest, whispering the lullaby of a wish to fly.

A song of sweet touching

The touch of a smile or a sense of gentle care

Would bring breath to stagnant air

Melodies of laughter

The tickle of dancing

Dizziness echoing through my head.

Memories of what we shared.

An unquenchable thirst

Holds me from needs yet to be fulfilled.

A love yearns to be nursed.
