In a beautiful forest, there was a group of happy animals.
That fully enjoyed their lives.
They appreciated everything they had.
They all lived in harmony,
The rabbits ran across the grass,
And they were thankful for having it.
The bears came up and down form the mountains of the east,
Following the stream, they drank water and ate berries.
And all the bears were thankful for it.
The birds flew around the trees, making nests and eating seeds.
And they were thankful for having the trees.
It was everything they needed,
The animals from this forest did not wish for more.
One day, the raven felt curious, and he wanted to explore.
He flew over the eastern mountains,
And as he went on, he could not see signs of life.
Everything he could see was a big deserted land.
It was all covered in sand, and no animals were around.
He was getting tired, so he decided to go back.
And when he was turning around towards home,
He saw a big creature, standing beside some bones.
The black winged creature seemed unsatisfied.
The raven wondered why,
So the curious raven went close, and asked:
“What has happened here?”
The creature, answered:
“ There once was a beautiful forest here
But the ambitious snake poisoned everyone’s minds”
“I come from a beautiful forest with beautiful animals,
Were there animals here before?”
“Oh yes, many of them, until the snake came,
She poisoned every animal with her venom.”
With a deep voice, repeated the creature.
The raven was very confused,
He did not understand,
and so he asked desperately.
“What do you mean? What is that venom you speak of?
What kind of creature are you?”
“I have different names,
But you can call me vulture” said the animal.
“What are you doing here?” wondered the raven.
“I came for the dead animals. That is what I do.”
The raven reflected as he tried to understand.
Then he asked again,
He was so curious and he wanted to know:
“Does the venom have a cure?”
The vulture laughed, and said:
-“No, I am afraid there is no cure for desire and ambition.
Animals here were happy, until the snake came.
The snake is filled with ambition,
And the animals l, did not know ambition.
She showed them to compete.
She showed them how to desire.
The animals were happy,
Until desire came, it consumed them,
And that caused their destruction.”
The vulture concluded.
“That is horrible, where is the snake now?”
“She is heading towards the mountains.”
“Oh no!, I must hurry, to save my friends in the forest.”
“I am sorry, I cannot let you go.
I am a the vulture,
And I am hungry of poisoned meat.
Desire and ambition will destroy your forest.
And I will come for the dead, because that is what I eat.”
The end.
