Epigram: Prologue To The Plausible
What if the last of Shakespeare's plays, The Tempest,
had been inspired by some skeptic coercion
of facts?---a source the playwright had rejected,
and elder, and somewhat more Scriptural, version?
Perhaps it was a source the Bard preferred
to help suppress; perhaps to keep unheard,
just as he did writing Richard the Third.
