Consequence of the finer points
erotic fantasies come back in the form of shadows
projections and attractions, dreams of romances
they haunt and are something hard to understand
there is something deep that needs our deliberation
many find sexual vitality in the spectral existence
we operate under the pledge of fantasies
an essence of sexual vigor
than we pass out and cannot remember
love is love, lust is lust , both much deeper than just physical
connection not unlike bits and bytes transmitting
we are so complex, but when we really connect
it is like calling the right number, and the phone is answered on the first ring
and the conversation is real and natural you both know what you need and want
you will think about tomorrow next week, maybe...
Yes...of course..
Yes...of course.. :-)-peace-

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."
"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
I was intrigued the other day
I was intrigued the other day while reading someone's work on here. She used the words 'intimate lust'. Have you ever had 'intimate lust', ninety? lol. Is there such a thing?
...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."
"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
hmmm hard question to answer
Lust, is lust and intimacy itself is not necessarily lust
I mean lust does not always need closeness to exist
A man can lust after someone he’s never met, I speak strictly from my own perspective.
Have I had lustful, torrid and intimate sexual encounters yes…
So it is conceivable a person could say the have had intimate lust

Ohhhh...sure. I see now. So
Ohhhh...sure. I see now. So you are saying there is a point in interaction with people where neither really has a clue of whether it is lust or love? If so, then how is it one can so definitely say, that "lust is lust" and "love is love"???
Help me out here...or rather help us all out ;-)
And...are there degrees of love? I mean...we love our best same sex friends, right? We love our pets, right? When we have strong longings to be with pets, friends, foods, to where it clouds our judgements and causes us to behave irratically and abusively, is that not lust too?

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."
"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
If only society could bear to
If only society could bear to establish the definition of lust for non sexual relations. It could go far towards mending the way men and women think they are so "different" from each other, and perhaps begin to notice their similarities.
.....
...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."
"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
You are a treasure
and I value your intelligence,
For me, I see love as unconditional, and lust as conditional, love is about inclusion, lust is about the self, it is a selfish act. That is why I suppose it made it as one of the seven deadly sins.
What I am trying to say, is that love is an intuitive human interaction, and lust is instinctive reaction, and you are right woman are more intuitive than men, not only because they cry, they now how to cry, and when to cry, they now how to have closure better than men.
Men hide behind their masculinity. Men use distraction to a greater degree.
Men use distraction and anger in place of tears and true emotional release. I can cry, but as a small boy the lessons taught to me was that I should not show emotion through my tears, I should be angry rather than weak. As a father I did not subscribe to such nonsense, and as a man I am still learning, as I get older I am learning how to harness the value of love, lust and tears too.

Women, know when it is time to move onto the rest of life. You know we used to have a society that was centric to the matriarch. http://www.postpoems.org/authors/9inety/poem/909059
Anyway, as long as I am putting links to poems in these little comments.
Here is one for the September equinox.

I can only agree... I also
I can only agree... I also tend to think lust as being about the body and physical senses...and its oh so fun to have a lover (a true love) that you can lust with once in a while...love is about the soul. Thank you for your very wise and comforting words, as well as your shared poems. I really found that interesting about how Christianity changed everything. Me, I am (have always been)"the bad Catholic". I do tend to think most Christian religions have a macho issue that has been beaten out of the sight of many of Its followers.
I shall sign off with one of my favorites by this very loved Dago.

love these lines. This is why I always cringe when people say it was "love at first sight" which I don't believe in, but I do in lust at first sight.
