He up came from Hell last night and said,” Let’s make deal”
He’ll make you do it the Devil’s got some souls to steal
when Satan comes for you, you’ll know what to do
He has to have priorities that start with his hoodoo voodoo
first He writes your name down in his “Little Red Book”
then He rewrites it again and again, until you start to cook
probing each letter, with the texture of the infinite until he is satisfied
your shameless on your knees sometimes it takes hours and then your fried inside
finely honing each devotee to one eternal sentence until the screaming reverberates
your persona in a smoky sacrifice @incinerate-direct to endless minions that incarcerate,
He done made you baby, now He owns your fate
from now on until never ends you'll spit fire because of what you ate
So well written, I aspire to
So well written, I aspire to b a write like you. Great work.
Beyond the scope of light,
Beyond the reach of dark..
Thank you
indeed
Peace

Like the artistic e vision I
Like the artistic vision In this, all except 'hoodoo voodoo' doesn't quite knit for me. is there a more sinester way of saying it? Perhaps re arranging it? It works, but it seems the mocking turns back on to the line rather than the concept. Just a thought, having said thought a very thought provoking write and as always much high calibre work beseeching me to envy, thus making me a sinner! ;) i love this arty and current side to you, current as a double analogy of course! Cheers SS

"Well, it's love, but not as we know it."
the poem
me thinks is more tongue in cheek than sinester, I thought about the terminology, I know it is a cheap ryhming scheme , none the less, I guess hoodoo voodoo, is a my way of alluring to a pun, just for fun..

you never
ever cease to amaze me. How did you get so smart.
I'm so tired these day, I write more to relax a little than to be all that creative. I know my aim is to work it real hard until it is perfect, but alas, I run out of steam, just finish so it is satisfactory. Going on 32 hours without sleep now, and I'd like to put 70 hours into writing then working the midnight shift. So my and my old friend me and Mr Jamison are going to chill until I pass out.
Peace

Thank You
for another insightful and intelligent critque, I so enjoy reading all the great ideas that you share you truly are a treasure.
I will refer you to the last line of the poem, "from now on until never ends you'll spit fire because of what you ate"
the illustration is supposed to expose personal responsibilty for an individuals actions.
I am sorry if in some way I alienated or offended you. It was never my intention.
I seek to entertain. I was going for the edgy, not the radical.
Analogies are kind of peculiar when you view them intently: I’m not going to tell you why the internet is amazing. Instead, I will give you the effect of thousands runners crossing the Brooklyn Bridge in the New York Marathon. I guess the essence I try to portray is we are all different and have a myriad of our own fears and phobias, beliefs and disbeliefs. A consequence of globalization, morays and immorality, I think in a sense we are on the same page. You are of the Mountainous heartland and me, where I grew up on the Jersey Shore, different as night and day different but in a way very similar, just folk.
Some of the same philosophy, we believe in universal love and that love is the key passing through this short time we have in the cosmos as contributors, not detractors.
I was trying to play on the bias that the Judeo-Christian has about God and Satan, good and evil. God, he inspires, the Devil conspires, its personal responsibility that is the crux of the crucifix or the points of a pentagram. Personal choice leads to success or ruination.
I suppose diversity provides an opportunity to be open and really honest about the fact that almost all great art contains an element of analogy. Not saying that my art is great,
I would never abdicate my humility. I feel that contrast and juxtaposition make for more interesting, and compelling poetry.
Love your new likeness did you paint that wonderful self-portrait?
I wish I was as talented as you.
Peace
Dylan
