First Kiss

It was dark outside and the moon shown bright...

A disk of full gold in the air

A breeze flew by and the night tinted blue

'Gainst your wind woven beautiful hair

We walked hand in hand with a quickness of step

and we watched as the time ticked away

Both of us knew without saying a word

That each step cost a second of play

Now coming in view like a palace of silver...

Quite ordinary till now

My heart felt a rush as we climbed and we touched

To the place we would finally drown

We stood all alone- just you and just I

The night and wind and moon and sky

In the warmth of our love and our passion and care

And our need for the other to be standing right there

I savored the moment...  I took it all in

But the urge in your eyes had begged to begin

And I felt it was silly to rush such a thing

While I pondered on all of the joy it would bring

Then I leaned towards your lips

And you did the same

My hands slid down your spine toward hips

And hence our first kiss came

First Kiss:

Love this poem, it is so gentle, so hypnotic and so descriptive of those rush of emotions the characters experienced. Your poem is well crafted and a joy to read. Liked your poem very much 48Daniel.
