Night Terror

Blacker than smoke
Darker than night
A thin hoarse whisper
That stays out of sight

A chilling breeze
The rustle of leaves
Surrounded by ancient twisted trees
Turn left or turn right?

Moonbeams rain down
Their light guides the way
But where we are headed is impossible to say!
Deeper we travel into the night

A scream
A shriek
A croak
A moan
An eerie unsettling undertone
An evil place where demons roam
Creatures lurk and horror foams

A cackling laugh
A wheezing sigh
A flash of glazed and glittering eye

With the flesh of a goose
And chattering bone
I find that now Iā€™m all alone

I find at my feet
Pools glistening red
It drips from my chin
I fear
I dread

The cough of a crow
The screech of an owl
My own gasping breath
All sound so foul

My friends I drag back to a cave
And there shall be their final grave
Fresh and bloody meat I crave
Avenge my friends whom I failed to save!

A sharpened stick
A lethal spear
I hold it close
My life so dear

A threatening growl
A rasping roar
An ominous sound at the caves only door

With all my might
The spear shoved in
And now I wear a gruesome grin
The monster slain, my soul set free
I die with spear inside of me

Ohhhh my god. Nighttime is the worst part of my days. Because of things such as this. I love how you express it so well.
