Night Shifter

Perched and resting off the ground

Two swively sturdy artificial laps provide sound rest

To the experienced shifter

But what about the cold man's breeze?

It's either that or Mr. Wishter's preparation blisters -

A pain to squeeze or touch or rub!

But the shaking in your knees?

Or spring summertime's wheezing sneeze?

Perhaps blisters aren't so bad . . .

Author's Notes/Comments:

A poem for the thoughtful bishu and Stella. It's been a long time since I wrote and I found it very very difficult. It seems to me that I HAVE to write on paper with pen and then transfer the work to computer... Does anyone else share this experience?

Thanks for the poem after a long hibernation

Maybe I‘m wrong Mr Daniel. But night shifts are gruelling indeed.
