I walk down
on New York avenue
Keep looking down
this sidewalk
Can't remember
the last time
I lost my heart
this homeless soul
cannot be heard
passing streetlights
looking at their glow
in this dark night
the moon shines
so bright and true
I'm out of place
through this huge crowd
These skyscrapers look
so much taller
I expect so much more
give me your love again
let me feel New York all over again
Not sure where you are from but I was born/raised in L.I. NY so familiar with L.I. NYC and upstate different worlds of culture in each. All have much to offer if you know what to look for. I found after 20+ yrs in New England I became di-citified. Never would have believed it happened lol... Still I do miss radio city music hall, the street vendors of delancy street in BKLYN,Mets cames etc...You always adapt no matter where you live,it just takes time though personally I would never live in the south because too hot for my liking
