Your Will

Folder:
Love

I couldn't help but cry

There was no reason to move

To eat, to sleep

In bed, I curled myself close

To help keep me comfortable that night

My support, my comfort was gone

I'd hear your voice in my head

And open my eyes to find you not there

I couldn't help but stare

Stare at a motionless state

Not move, not react

The aim of my eye wasn't there

To feel desperate in something

that's out of your hands

I couldn't help but pray

Pray to a God that I'd turned from

Was this your will?

To bring me back to you?

I prayed with every feverish tear

running down my face

I couldn't help but miss

Miss my one true thing

My one true love

The one that will hold me

Before anything that could hurt

Our lives between us

I couldn't help but realize

What I was pushing away

The one thing I really needed

The life I was so desperately

Searching for

You
