I may say things, even though I don't mean them.

I mean to say things, even though I'm afraid to say so.

I won't apologize, even though I'm really sorry.

Try to understand me, even though I may not want to talk

about it.

I may say nothing's wrong, even though there's always something there.

Hug me, even though I tell you not to.

Wipe away my tears, even though I pretend its dry eyes.

Love me, even though I'm afraid of love and its powers.

Cry along with me, even though I'd rather be alone.

Say it one more time why you care, even though I've already

heard the story a thousand times.

Force me to be with you, even though my mouth says no, but

my heart's beating yes.

Don't give up on me, even though I fear that you probably will.

Don't leave me, even though I know you probably think its best to.

I may be laughing, even though I'm really crying inside.

Get up and dance with me, even though I'm shy to.

Stay there and make the point, even though I know you're right when I'm wrong.

I know I'm hard to understand, even though I know you understand me.

I may say that I don't care what they think, even though deep down inside I do.

I may be busy, even though I'm always thinking of you.

Please don't give up on me.  

I've been through my many trials.

I'm trying my hardest.

But I'm so afraid of life and its features.
